Art forms of nature

I was just watching a program about Darwin and his theories and as it turns out, one of his biggest fans was Ernst Haeckel- an eminent German biologist, naturalist, philosopher, physician, professor and artist who discovered, described and named thousands of new species. I thought his name sounded familiar and of course- he wrote and illustrated the book- Art forms of nature. Here are a few examples of this genius' work. I love the bright colours with black backgrounds.

Sunday Suppers

What an impressive blog- not only does it have great recipes but the photography is excellent. I love the close ups and detail shots of produce, flowers and table settings. Sunday Suppers is a cooking class taught by local chefs in Brooklyn, New York with food styling and Photography by Karen Mordechai.
